She has electrokinetic powers, which she uses to release or absorb lightning. Tiberias Calore VII is the elder son of King Tiberias Calore VI, and he is in love with Mare.

Victoria Aveyard’s Biography

Victoria Aveyard is an American writer of young adult and fantasy fiction novels. She is best known for her fantasy fiction novel series ‘Red Queen.’ Aveyard studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California.

She finished her first novel, Red Queen, right after graduating from college. In 2021, Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, announced that the Red Queen series would be adapted into a television show, with Elizabeth Banks directing and appearing in a recurring role.

Aveyard is also the author of another book series called Realm Breaker.

It follows Mare Barrow, a 17-year-old girl who lives with her parents and younger sister. Her three older brothers serve on the front lines of a war fought between the Lakelands and the Barrow’s homeland.

Mare is jealous of her sister because her sewing skills have earned her a job working for silver, which means she can’t be conscripted to war.

2) Glass Sword

Published in 2016, Glass Sword is the second novel in the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard. In this book, Mare and the rest of the Scarlet Guard are being pursued by King Maven and his army.

Mare soon learns that she is not the only one of her kind and sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Silver fighters to join in the struggle against their oppressors.

As the story progresses, Mare finds herself becoming the kind of monster she is trying to defeat.
