R. L. Stine’s Goosebumps Books in Order

Goosebumps is a children’s horror novel series written by R. L. Stine. Usually, the protagonists of the books are tweens and young teens who find themselves in scary situations involving ghosts, monsters, the paranormal, and the occult.

Collectively, all of the books in the original series and the spin-offs have sold over 400 million copies worldwide in over 30 languages.

In the 1990s, the book series was adapted into a television show in association with Scholastic Productions. The show ran for 4 seasons and featured plots based on the Goosebumps books.

In 2022, it was announced that a new Goosebumps live-action series is in the works and will be heading to Disney+. The book series was also adapted into films with Jack Black playing a fictionalized version of R. L. Stine.

R. L. Stine’s Biography

Robert Lawrence Stine of R. L. Stine is an American writer, television producer, editor, and screenwriter who is referred to as the “Stephen Kind of children’s literature.” Stine was raised in Ohio and started to write short stories at the age of nine after he found a typewriter in his attic.

After finishing school, Stine wrote humor books for kids and even created a humor magazine called Bananas. He wrote his first horror novel, Blind Date in 1986. Before launching the Goosebumps series, Stine started writing the Fear Stress books.
